Art Guide
Stroke
Drawing is the medium á la mode this season. Highlights of this well-picked
group show include masterly colored-pencil images of a blank building facade
and basement rubbish by Eric Heist; dense, microscopically scaled graphite abstractions
on business cards by James Nelson, surreal polyp and ligament images by Anna
Pederson; and a large figure, formed from perforated holes in paper, by James
Cullinane, who has done intriguing work with similar images elsewhere (Cotter).
